Best Smartphones for 2020

December 09, 2019

As 2019 comes to a close, retailers and businesses are likely looking ahead to see which smartphones will sell the best in 2020. Considering the wide variety of models and various manufacturers, finding the best-selling cell phones for 2020 can be a chore. To help out our customers, we’ve listed some of the top cell phones to watch for and considering purchasing for your business.

Essential Project Gem

A relatively unheard-of option, Project Gem will be the newest model from Essential, which released its first smartphone in 2018. The Project Gem is a long, narrow cell phone. This unique cell phone option has a noticeable bump around the camera lens, and a fingerprint sensor that may not be a lock/unlock feature, although it’s not yet clear what its use would be if not for authentication. For those who are looking for the new, different and cutting edge, Project Gem is a good choice.

Galaxy Fold

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is the newest innovation from Samsung. It’s a new, updated and smaller version of the Fold it has released previously. The new Fold will have a 6.7-inch square display made with a strong, ultra-thin protective glass that will perpetually bend but not break. Best of all, it’s rumored to be priced under $1000.

Galaxy S11

The already popular Samsung Galaxy S is getting an upgrade and is supposed to be released in February 2020. The S11 is rumored to have a super slick 108-megapixel camera, plus a spectrometer that will let users point the camera at different foods to determine their nutritional content.

Huawei Mate X

Although it’s not yet clear if it will be available in the U.S. due to the threat of sanctions against this Chinese company, the Huawei Mate X is an 8-inch square foldable smartphone that really doubles as a small screened computer. It’s already set for a 5G network, and features one quad-lens camera.

iPhone 11 Pro

No need to wait for this one – the iPhone 11 Pro is already available for purchase. The Pro features a triple camera for better pictures, a longer-lasting battery and an A13 Bionic chip, the fastest on the market. It features more durable glass for better protection, and a bright OLED display.

Motorola Razr

In the end of 2019, Motorola released its new Razr, with TWO displays: a foldable larger one, and a smaller display on its front for notifications and message previews. Although it looks a lot like the old flip phones, this new iteration is a lot more powerful, packing a punch with a long-lasting battery and a Snapdragon 710 Qualcomm SPU.

Google Pixel 4

We’ve written about the Pixel 4 previously. It’s taking the world by storm, featuring the newest Android operating system in a smaller, more versatile package than the larger iPhones. It’s also more affordable, with a great camera option, including better pics in low light.
