The iPhone 9/SE 2
February 03, 2020
There’s good news for retailers whose iPhones sell like hotcakes: there’s a new iPhone coming down the pipeline. Best of all, its price tag is much lower than the average iPhone.
The new SE 2 will be a cheaper version of the main line of iPhones and is set to be released in March. It’s likely going to cost about $400 – the same price as the
iPhone SE launched during the same time of year in 2016.
Instead of calling it the SE 2, it could very well take the name iPhone 9, since Apple skipped the 9 in 2017 when it released iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, in addition to the iPhone X. This also makes sense because the iPhone 8 and 8 plus are the cheapest phones in Apple’s general lineup, making an iPhone 9 the logical successor.
If the newest budget phone from Apple is anything like its original SE, it will pack a lot of the same power of an iPhone into a smaller package, with a long-lasting battery and a solid camera. The newer version is also rumored to include a Touch ID sensor, which the original SE lacked. The new phone smartphone from Apple will look a lot like the iPhone 8, with a 4.7-inch screen.
Regardless of whether it’s called the iPhone SE or iPhone 9, the good news is that the smartphone cases that work for the iPhone 8 will work on this new more affordable iPhone. This means retailers can purchase iPhone 8 cases that will also work for the iPhone 9 when it hits the shelves.
Now is the perfect time to stock up on phone cases for this new smartphone from Apple. Check out Issoy’s inventory of compatible cases today.
